Richard Touitou was born and raised in a quaint village nestled in the breathtaking Aurès Mountains, where the undulating sands of the Sahara meet the rich tapestry of Algerian culture. His formative years were shaped not only by the warmth of his family but also by the vibrant traditions of the Touareg friend tribe, particularly the esteemed El Sarahoui family. During his adolescence, up until the pivotal moment of Algeria’s indebtedness in November 1954, Richard reveled in a remarkable education steeped in the lessons of nature and the wisdom of ancient customs, often found near the tranquil banks of the El Arab wadi.
Pursuing academic excellence, Richard graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from the prestigious Technicum in Geneva. This pivotal achievement launched him into a successful career in the petrochemical and fertilizer industries, where his analytical mind and innovative spirit flourished.
Yet, it is Richard’s profound passion for the history of science and archaeology that sets him apart. For decades, he dedicated his leisure time to delving deep into the mysteries of alchemy, studying ancient treaties and grimoires that whisper secrets of the ages. A master of the alchemical language—the secret tongue of the sages—Richard has deciphered the “green language,” also known as diplomatic language, and the enigmatic Rosicrucian cabal. These skills have enabled him to unravel ancient secrets carefully guarded by generations of initiates, with the initial threads woven in the mists of time.
In 2007, Richard shared his extensive knowledge with the world through his groundbreaking treatise, L’or des Sages (The Gold of the Sages), published in France, which offers an exhaustive exploration of alchemical principles.
With his debut novel, The Most Fabulous Treasure, Richard embarks on a thrilling adventure in English, inviting readers on a journey filled with intriguing secrets surrounding the alchemical process, the materials utilized, and the astonishing properties of the philosopher’s stone and the Elixir of Youth. Through this work, he blends fiction with the rich lore of alchemy, ensuring that the age-old pursuit of wisdom continues to inspire and captivate.
